"Ow-hey-stop," Agito whirled his way around on his A-Ts so that he was facing Ikki, rolling backwards with the other's steps. It hurt when Ikki had pressed into his back considering Kaito had previously punched him there in the first place. Carefully he kept in check with Ikki as he glided backwards with a smile. It was apparent they had lost Kaito for now and he slowly cocked his head to the right to emphasize on the situation, "we're alright." Agito enjoyed Ikki's idle threats more than anything because they sounded ridiculous and unrealistic.
Moving his hands out he had caught the other's shoulders with his palm to move near to Ikki's right ear, "thank you," it was soft and friendly, a tone that most people never got out of Agito.

........
Agito and Akito were two halves. Agito was everything that Akito was not and vice versa. Agito was a bloodthirsty psychotic monster when he got started, and yet--
--there he was facing Itsuki. There he was catching his shoulders and saying things in his ear.
He came to a dead stop. Flat-eyed and flat-faced, Ikki pressed his fist into Agito's stomach and gently rolled him back. He stepped another step forward and repeated the process with his other fist. He showed no intention of stopping, one fist after the other.
This wasn't because he was angry with the gesture. It was just that-- "I'm gonna eat all your food, too!" Well...
They were teammates. Teammates do that kind of thing for each other, right?

Agito felt himself rolling back when the other had used his fist to press him forward and this time he decided to glide backwards to turn back around and actually make his way to be in flank with Ikki. For awhile he said nothing at the other's threat, knowing well enough that Ikki couldn't get his food even if he tried, Akito on the other hand .. Shaking his head he let his arms cross over his chest while speaking up, "do you have your A-Ts with you?"

In response, Ikki held up the bag he carried and jingled it from side-to-side. "Yeah. Didn't have a chance to put 'em on -- had to think quick." The smart thing would have been to put the A-Ts on before he came back for Akito, or the second he saw Kaito. But it went without saying that he wasn't exactly thinking when he saw Kaito holding onto Akito like that.
At least it turned out all right. No one got shot.
Chance of a stray bullet shooting him in the back of the neck after he was wholey sure he was going to be all right: 99 percent.
Warily, he glanced over his shoulder as if Kaito's truck was going to come back from the dead and run the both of them down right there. When he was positive that wouldn't happen, he looked back and down abruptly. "Shi-!" He had to hop-hobble on one foot to avoid stepping in a small pothole that probably would have tripped him.
ALL RIGHT. After they get out of the damn street he was stopping to put them on!

Agito examined the bag Ikki was carrying before looking back ahead with a simple nod, figuring the other would put them on once they were off the street. For once he seemed to be in deep thought and not acting on impulse, as though he was trying to calculate Kaito in his head. ".." Eerie silence came from the boy before he heard a bellowed noise from Ikki. Furrowing his right brow he noticed the other doing a hop-hobble and he could only frown at the other's carelessness to watch where he was going.
"Careful," he hissed at Ikki along the way.

"Oi, oi, oi, you're one idiot to talk, 'I stick my finger in guns!' " This wasn't as vicious as it could have been.
The truth was he would have felt safer putting his ATs on in the beginning, it was just he didn't feel safe enough to stop. With another hurried glance over his shoulder now that the pothole passed, he puffed up his cheeks and--
--promptly sat down in the road. Not in the middle. He was off to the side but in the road none the less.
Sulkily, he began to pry the ATs out of the box he kept them in one-by-one and went about the busy business of putting them on. "Sorry," he offered quietly, not to Agito but to the ATs.
After all, he'd thrown them at Kaito's face. Who wanted that?
"Let's go by Buccha's in case he's following us." Well, it sounded like the best solution.

Agito ignored the snide comment from Ikki, it had worked, hadn't it? When the other had sat down he continued forward until he was at least two feet from Ikki. He stood there with his hands in his pocket, waiting. Agito never said a lot when he wasn't planning something destructive or in battle. And when he did say something it was to at least bitch about something, so he took this opportunity to do so, "I can't believe that bastard. mine he says, what a sick-fuck." Every single word that came out of his mouth was vulgar and his brows knotted together until he gave himself a headache and ceased all movements.
Dammit, Akito better not get us caught again that was too close Agito thought, his head bowed in concentration. Surely Ikki would be done with getting his A-Ts on by now?

One of the best things about Ikki was that it made no difference whether Agito was Agito or Akito was Akito. He had no problem in kicking either of them, punching them, pushing them, knocking them over, or otherwise being rough. After he placed his shoes in his manbag, Ikki made the most sour face at Agito.
"Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Don't talk about that!" He was telling the truth, even as he pushed himself off the ground and forward to half-circle around Agito (to knock him in the back of the head with his arm and swing to the left) Ikki's entire body convulsed with a horror-filled shudder. "I don't even wanna think about it!" Gross!
But there was something else he had to think of: What were they going to do about Kaito? Meeting him got worse every single time. Because he thought best when in motion, Ikki proposed: "I'm gonna race you and totally kick your ass!"

Agito felt himself being jostled when the other had circled him, so he stood straight again and gave Ikki a mean glare. "You're on," he accepted the challenge as he moved forward in a slow glide while moving back up to do the same that Ikki had done to him, by circling the other. Once he had stood to the side of Ikki he had moved his head back to give a short grin tapping the tip of his A-T forward against the cement but not rough enough to damage the sharp blades.
As he was doing this his right hand went forward, his index finger reaching out to give the other a harsh poke to let his wheels start forward in a roll. "Welll..?" Agito started, waiting on Ikki. Enough was enough with Kaito, and Agito would try to make this race fair and clean - it would be hard to.

For his part, Itsuki grinned like a wolf and promptly shoved Agito backwards with one hand before he darted off like a black bullet and took his unfair head-start. The point of the race was to take Agito's mind off of Kaito and give Itsuki time to think about it; there was nothing to be gained or lost by a little friendly cheating (so small it could hardly be called cheating!) at the start.
"Well?!" he barked back at his companion, voice high and full of something like laughter.
In some way this helped Itsuki too: He didn't like to skate alone and Kaito gave him one hell of a scare.
Maaaaaaan, he was gonna have nightmares about that!

Agito felt himself being shoved back and when he had time to look he noted that Ikki was well along his way to victory he wasn't even going to get in the first place. Since the other had cheated he decided the race wasn't going to that fair. Casually he started off in a regular pace after Ikki before he did 90 degree turn right onto the side walk, following down it while using the near by objects. As he continued forward he had caught site of a bench, great tool. Lifting his weight he allowed himself to jump on top of back of the bench, allowing his A-Ts to make an engraved line. Near to the end of the bench he had whirled his weight forward and down in a precise spin so that he would follow along the road instead, right ahead of Ikki.
Agito didn't even look back, ah well, he looked back now; Agito just HAD to see Ikki's face.

....................................................
Ikki's mouth fell open into an "O" shape while memories came swirling back to him. His brows raised high on his forehead and both his eyes went wide. He closed his mouth, mostly because he had some vague recollection that getting bugs in your mouth wasn't really as great as other birds made it look.
... oh yeah. Agito was--
It was so easy to forget when most of your time was spent around Akito.
"OI, I'M REALLY GONNA SHOOT YOU WIT--SSSSSCHFFFFF-" That one was cut off because of one small problem: A car.
Two confusing things happened at that moment: Itsuki bounced up in the air as gracefully as a rabbit and slammed his palms down on the hood of the car. The second confusing thing was the way his push gave him the momentum to increase his speed when his ATs caught the ground again.
It wasn't as graceful of a trick as Agito's, but at least it helped him catch up. Instead of arguing about who was going to win, Ikki's eyes lit up. "Remember! Turn right here! We're not actually gonna stop by him!"
After all, were only going out this way as a means of losing Kaito -- if Kaito bothered to follow.

Agito could only grin when Ikki started to throw out more threats and then he noticed the car turn from the other side of the street and watched how quickly Ikki had recovered from the event. Soon his grin lowered to a small smile, a thought passing over about how the bird could escape means of danger but it couldn't always miss the bullet. Agito's movements became more light as he was reminded to go to the right. Letting his form drop down he allowed himself to roll around the corner, following the edge of the sidewalk. The race was still in mind but he always liked the challenged and he slowed down a pace.

There was one thing holding Itsuki back: He still sucked. He had the determination, he had the ambition, he had the intelligence to learn new tricks, he had the energy--he just sucked! The lack of experience was what killed him, but he learned a little more every time he put his ATs on.
It was a little like running on air and he damn near skidded into another car by taking the turn too sharply. He wobbled like he was drunk -- but the important thing here was the speed.
He was closing in on Agito.
"Oiiiiii! How well do you know this area?! Have you been here before?!" Agito and Akito were trapped with Kaito for God knew how long. It was anyone's guess as to how much they knew.

As Ikki spoke he had turned back around to glide backwards like he had done before. With this going on he moved towards the sidewalk to place his left A-T up on the sidewalk, letting his right one turn down as though he was about to stop at any given minute. Instead, of stopping his pressed his right A-T down to slowly let his form twist to the side, the left A-T rolling back at a quicker pace as he cocked his head to the left. "I've been here before," Agito replied curly, his left hand snatching for the pole that came up behind him. At this he let his palm grasp the pole while shifting his weight to spin around the pole a few times to go around in a fast circle.
As he was facing the proper direction he let go of the pole to allow the wheels of his A-Ts to be powered by themselves, and he didn't have to raise a foot. You could've swore Agito was singing by now.
