Eyes suddenly sharp, Itsuki committed Agito's movement to memory. That was such a simple movement and it helped so much.
"Then I'll tell you just in case! Remember to take another right! Then a left! You should remember the way back from there!" was what he called after Agito, because suddenly Itsuki wasn't chasing him anymore. He left the road and jumped up on the sidewalk, narrowly avoiding a cat. A little awkwardly, he rode near the left side of a sturdy building. As gently as could be, he kicked the wheels of his left foot to make them spin a little faster. That was when he lifted those wheels and then-
-promptly twisted, turned, and all but flipped all the way up along the wall, wheels leaving faint knicks and marks where they touched. One windowsill wore slashes that might take a good chunk of money to fix.
Once upon a time (only months ago) he would have had to go straight through the buildings. Now he could go over them.
The sound of something crashing far above could remind someone that he still couldn't go over them very well.
Agito glanced behind him when he took a sharp turn to the right around the building and why the Hell was Ikki going over the building?! After this building it was a straight left unless he was planning to go by rooftop, which could've been fast if someone was an expert at jumping. Instead of doing what Ikki did he started at an opposite maneuver allowing his skates to go near to the buildings as sped up to only spring up and over the cars at the intersection, his right hand catching the further car to push away and land on the opposite sidewalk. By this time there were a line of people so Agito did what he did best and lifted his feet to skid across the side of the building and then down again to get out of the crowd of people. This time around he had forgot what he was doing but he continued to move for some purpose.
Surrender to temptation passed over his thoughts as a grim smile appeared on his lips. It appeared that nothing was going to stop him from moving with his freedom and his destination called home. The horrible events clicked in his mind and that damned Akito had let it go on far too long.
